Creating Space
living in 200 square feet
Surounded by the things I love creating visual beauty for my eyes to rest add the scent of palo santo burning on the windowsill then noticing outside large deep green maple leaves sun dappled moving in the breeze mesmerizing me like watching a dancer caught up soaring soul pulled free of my introspective chest heart lifts.
This elation requires absence of clutter, requires eyes moving with ease without interruption from one beauty to the next, today’s cluster a collection of daisies white with big yellow centers and two long sturdy stems one foxglove pink one water iris yellow, eyes resting on each moment, bliss.
Blip Blip into focus from the back of my head the mess contained in an eight by twenty foot white sea can 150 feet away from where I sit.
I’ve lost the scent. Why do I have this stuff that I’m not living with? A disruption of peace and yet it holds beauty too from a previous time memories jumbled together packed for efficient use of space a tetris of furniture, my massive mission bed, two cherry chests of drawers, a full living room of leather, boxes of books, more boxes of books, files of paper not yet 7 years kept, carpets, crafts, wool (only the most precious kept in a hope chest), photography equipment (a portrait studio packed away without light), boxes of relics (pointe shoes pink, scuffed), baskets, blankets, bubble wrapped art. It is beauty in a box.
The combination lock holding all this dear to me stuff safe is released opened by spelling out letters on the dial JUNK

Whoo hoo!!!!
